I have had great response from 'volunteers' to promote our Military Veterans Chapter at Area Rallies.. I need some more volunteers for additional tasks at Perry! How many of you plan to attend? There is need for 'volunteers' to operate the Tram Detail. Let's make the Family Reunion at Perry the best ever by being involved!

Of course, we will have a Chapter Fair at Perry, a Chapter meeting (on the agenda, I need members for the Nominating Committee to select Chapter officers to be elected summer of 2015), someone to chair a "social," etc.

Greetings for the New Year:

Reminder: If attending the Western Area Rally at Indio, Calif., January 8-12, our Military Veterans Chapter will be represented by Ronald Curtis (e-mail va52gunner@aol.com;), at the Chapter Fair. At the Southeastern Area Rally at Brooksville, Fl., January 30- February 2, the MVC will be represented by Bob Cerney (e-mail bobnfreda@jcsolutions.net;).

Register ASAP for the combined Military Veterans / Elks Pre-rally at Columbus, GA, March 7-10, 2014. You should be a current member of either the MVC or the Elk's Chapters FMCA. Please register with Andy at Lake Pines RV Park 706-561-9675 to secure your campsite. Then send me, John Lee, Wagonmaster your Pre-rally registration / fee. You need to do both! See attached form or the registration form on the MVC blog www.mvcfmca.blogspot.com.

We will have my "world famous" pulled pork on the evening of arrival (bring your favorite dish) Thursday, March 6th; Ranger Demonstration at Ft. Benning on Friday, March 7th; breakfast of SOS at the VFW on Saturday morning, spend the day at the Infantry Museum, then steak dinner at the VFW, Saturday March 8th; the National Civil War Cemetery at Andersonville, GA; and a Southern catfish dinner at Ezell's on Monday, the 10th. Other places of interest are the Civil War Naval Museum, the Coca Cola Space Science Center, etc. For the gambler in us, there is possible horse racing at the RV Park!

If this 'global warming' continues here in the South, we may see some of you sooner than March as my wife (your Chapter Secretary) has reminded me of the motorhome sitting in the driveway!
